Why is my .json export not encrypted?

#1

I just exported and emailed a .json file to myself with all my sensitive data. I presumed it was encrypted and that I wouldn’t be able to open it without “sharing” with another account, so I tested it and found out that I was able to open it with any turtl account. The file went across Google servers- I’m very nervous that I’ve exposed my data. I was using a VPN but still that’s not OK. I thought the idea with Turtl was that you need to have a key to open any .json file.

Am I missing something?
